Managed Pollinator Protection Plans
The Coalition partnered to convene a symposium providing the tools, insights, and relationships necessary for state, tribal, and other stakeholders to pursue the development of MP3 plans effectively and efficiently.
Promoting best practices
Coalition members are actively developing crop-specific best management practices for soybeans and trainings for crop pesticide applicators and advisers.
- Learn about the Beekeeper and Grower roles in mitigating risk of pesticide exposure to pollinators
- Access best management practices the Coalition has developed to help soybean growers take steps to support honey bees, which often visit their fields
- The Coalition partnered with the National Pesticide Safety Education Center to develop a module for pesticide applicators, advisors and consultants to learn how they can protect bees from incidental exposure. Click here to learn more and access the module.
Promote and improve incident reporting and data for decision making
Identify and implement Coalition actions to promote and improve beekeeper incident reporting regarding crop pest management-related bee health incidents. The Coalition also has called for comprehensive, risk based assessments to understand factors that may impact acute losses and/or chronic effects.
